Thank you to our wonderful partners at Box who we worked with to present this new integration and innovation at their BoxWorks event earlier this month.

For years, we’ve had a direct integration with Box that allowed teams to upload documents directly from Box into Hive. This helped teams consolidate all of their files into one central hub, which were then accessible inside Hive.

With the dawn of advances in AI, technology and integration capabilities, we’ve leveled up our integration to bring you the future of intelligent content management – a magical project planner that does your work for you.

The integration officially launched at BoxWorks earlier this month, but here’s a break down of the ins-and-outs for any team looking to super-charge their project creation process.

How to Integrate Hive and Box

To get this integration working for you, you’ll first need to sync the apps together. From inside Hive, navigate to “Hive Apps,” accessible in the left-hand side bar. From there, search for “Box” in the app library.

Once the apps are connected, you’ll be able to add Box files directly into Hive action cards by navigating down to the “Attachments” portion of the card.

From there, pull in any files that you need in Hive directly from Box – it doesn’t get any easier!

Creating a Project from Signed Document

When we thought about an additional integration and capability, leveraging AI to create a project from a Box document felt like a natural next step. What do you naturally do once you’ve gotten a signed document or contract? You kick off the project.

The next phase of this integration allows you to actually upload a document for signature into Hive, request a signature from Hive, and then use the signed document as a starting point for project creation.
