There aren't many things that get people motivated like a raise, a promotion, or a killer new job offer that combines the two. Money matters, but just how much? We looked into the data to find out if a higher paycheck equates to increased productivity.
Before we get into logistics and money talk, lets chat a bit about what keeps people happy, motivated and productive at work. One of the top motivators, we found, was recognition from a supervisor, and communication on responsibilities, successes, and projects. That piece of data leads us to believe that people who are being paid more, or at least who are properly compensated for the work they're doing, are happier, which in turn makes them more productive.
