This week, we are excited to share our two big workspace updates! As the first project management software built by users, for users, Hive releases new features every week based on our users’ feedback in the Hive Forum. 1. Help Dropdown Menu

This week, we remodeled the notorious blue question mark in the right corner of your dashboard. With our latest update, you can now click on the blue question mark to find a brand new dropdown menu, filled with all of the resources you need to use Hive successfully. Let’s explore the new dropdown menu and take a look at what each section offers: Docs & FAQ Need help finding something? Clicking this will take you to our Hive Help article library. Webinar Sign up here for our weekly interactive webinar. Videos Visit our library of in-depth videos with playlists and tutorials on all the Hive basics. Feature Request Access the Hive Forum, where you can request and vote on features you want to see in Hive. #DemocraticallyBuilt Support Need immediate support? Visit our support team during business hours to get help fast. Hive University Go to school (again)! Our new Hive University portal provides a step-by-step training process to master Hive. Hive Community Join The Swarm, Hive’s new Facebook group for users to share tips and tricks with one another. All individuals and teams are welcome to ask questions, discuss feature ideas, give feedback, and talk all things Hive. Now that you've been updated on each item, go ahead and check out the dropdown menu for yourself! Simply click on the blue question mark icon in the top right corner of your Hive dashboard, and start exploring all of the great resources we've compiled just for you. Enjoy!

2. Formula Custom Fields

This week's update integrates your favorite parts of Excel to Hive with a brand-new custom fields update. Users can now use custom field formulas in Hive without exporting data to Excel or other tools.

For example, if you have two existing custom fields ('Cost per person' and 'Number of people') you could create a formula custom field ('Total cost') to multiply their values. To create a new custom formula, visit your Custom Fields hub and click the "Formula" button.

Custom formulas will take the following structure:

field("[custom field 1]") (operator) field("[custom field 2]")

In the example above, you would define 'Total cost' by writing the following phrase in the formula field:

field("Number of people") * field("Cost per person")
