New This Week In Hive: February 14, 2022

Hive

— min

As the first project management software built by users, for users, Hive releases new features every week based on our users' feedback. This week, we are excited to share our 4 new updates! Thank you to everyone who votes and requests in the Hive Forum. You are what makes Hive #DemocraticallyBuilt!

1. Filter Summary View by Project-Level Custom Fields

You can now use custom fields to filter Summary Views, making it simple to narrow down views of large projects.  In a project’s Summary View, select “Edit View” then “Select custom field.” From there, you can select the specific custom fields based on your preferences, as well as by custom field fill value. Thank you to Josh at Stanley Black & Decker, Sam at OpenTent, and Emily at First Central for voting on this feature!

2. Custom Fields in Forms

Custom fields can now be included on Forms. This will help prevent duplicate information and allow users to map Forms to custom fields within their workspace. To use custom fields, simply drag the new custom field item into your Form during creation. Users then have the option to choose Project or Action custom fields. When this field is filled out, the value will be mapped to the custom field. Thank you to Diana from Silgan for requesting this feature!

3. Date Changes in Resourcing and Timesheet Export

To streamline data export and simplify the process exporting data from Hive into other programs, the date format in Timesheets and Resourcing is now changed to "YYYY/MM/DD."

4. Quick-edit in Summary View

Teams can now quickly edit their Summary Views. The location of "Edit view" is now under the three "More" dots for a more efficient way to make changes.
