The Hive Community Is Growing

Here at Hive, our mission is to help teams move faster — and today we’re taking the next step in our journey to bring the power of Hive to teams across the world. We’re proud to share that we’ve acquired Squidhub, a Denmark-based project management startup, which will help us better support our current European customers and also expand our footprint in Europe.

Founded in 2016 by Asger Stjernholm and Andreas Overbeck, Squidhub is one of Copenhagen’s top startups. The company developed a simple collaboration and project management platform used by The Capital Region of Denmark, Houzz and Volvo as well as 100,000+ small teams and freelancers. We are thrilled to welcome these new users to the Hive community.

“We’re very excited to share that Squidhub is now a part of Hive. Our mission at Hive has always been to help customers move faster and by expanding our local presence in Europe, we will be able to support them better and address their needs even quicker,” John Furneaux, co-founder and CEO

But that’s not all we’re announcing today. We realized many of Squidhub’s customers are small teams and freelancers, so we’ve created a brand new subscription plan that will allow anyone to experience the power of Hive, regardless of size or budget. Hive Solo now gives individuals or teams of up to 2 people access to Hive — totally free. This plan includes access to Hive’s most popular productivity features, including project management, collaboration, automated workflows and note-taking features.

Last week we announced the launch of Hive Notes for Zoom, a free, collaborative note taking and task management app that is fully embedded in Zoom Meetings. And today we’re extending our free offering to the complete Hive project management platform. There’s a lot of great stuff happening here at Hive — thanks for joining us on this ride!
