New This Week In Hive: October 3, 2022

This week, we released four of our most popular Hive Forum feature requests! We are excited to share these new updates with our Hive Community. Check it out!

1. Transfer template predecessors without due date scheduled

With this update, when users apply templates, durations and predecessors will transfer over automatically, regardless of whether or not the project has a due date. Now, new and existing templates will include all predecessors and durations, making project creation easier and faster.

Thank you to Ryan at Scrum50 for providing feedback on this feature!

2. Allow due date on holiday

Recently, we blocked actions and projects from being assigned on holidays. Now, workspace admins can override this restriction and assign due dates on scheduled holidays.

To update, add, or remove holiday calendars in your workspace, head to Workspace Settings -> Holiday calendar -> Edit calendar.

Thank you to Allie from Perforce for requesting this feature!

3. Join existing workspaces via email domain

We’ve made it easier than ever to invite new teammates to your workspace.

Users are now prompted to join their team in Hive, rather than create an entire new workspace, when signing up with a matching domain.

For example, if someone from Hive HQ signed up for an account, the following message would be shown:

This feature requires an email verification following the window prompt as well.

This feature will be Off by default until workspace admins turn it on. To enable this feature, admins can go to their profile picture dropdown -> Workspace Settings -> select “Allow users to automatically join the workspace,” and submit the permitted domain.

4. Lock proofs

This update allows proofs to be locked once all comments and feedback has been received. Workspace admins, as well as the proof uploader, will be able to lock a proof.

To lock a proof, select the “lock” icon at the bottom right hand corner of the proof.

Thank you to Josh at DEMDACO for requesting this feature!
