New This Week In Hive: August 1, 2022

We are excited to share this week’s feature releases and highlighted recipe. Remember to continue voting and requesting on our Hive Forum to see your requests released next!

1. Automation Buttons on Subactions

Automation buttons, or the shortcut buttons inside an action card, are now available on both the parent and subaction. Previously, the buttons were only available on parent actions, limiting potential automation.

The workflow buttons can be found above the Hive Mail feature inside the action card.

Thank you to Moheyer Insurance Team for requesting this feature!

2. Silent Project Creation

Previously, if users created a project, all workspace users would be notified. Now, users have the option to create a project silently, eliminating excess notifications.

When users create a project, there will now be an option to uncheck the “Notify users” box. This will ensure no users receive a notification upon creation.

Thank you Shantel from JSA for requesting this feature!

3. New Numbers Custom Field Type

A new numbers custom field type is now available in the Analytics app. This is helpful for custom dashboards built upon project or action custom fields.

4. Hive Automate Recipe: Project Updates -> Send Email

Many projects in Hive involve more than just workspace members. This week’s recipe ensures external stakeholders and other parties stay in the loop.

When a project is updated (trigger), an email (in either Gmail or Outlook) will be sent to designated contacts with the name of the user who made the changes as well as any updates (action).

Check it out now in Hive Automate!
