This week, we released five new features and updates! Thank you to everyone who requested and voted in our Hive Forum.
1. Back Button in Action Card Templates
A back button has been added to the action card template section of Workspace Settings. The new Exit button takes users back to the action card library from the template editor. This eliminates users having to start over each time they want to apply a new template.
Thank you to Chantal from Blue Fox for requesting this feature!
2. Separate Template from Copy Project
The template application section is now divided into two dropdowns:
- Templates
- Projects
Now, users can select an existing project to copy into the new project or apply a template from the template library.
3. View Recently Deleted in API
The Hive API can help automate and speed up workflow through various features such as automation, templatizing, etc. Users now have the ability to view deleted/archived Actions/Projects using the API. To find deleted items, utilize the API endpoint “deleted.”

4. Sort Approvals in My Approval View
Approvals can now be sorted and categorized through My Approval View. This is an updated extension of the My Actions View sort, which includes Priority, Due Date, etc.
5. Hive Automate Recipe: When Action Card is created/updated, create/update associated row in Google Sheets
Many of our users use Google Sheets in collaboration with Hive. This recipe eliminates the manual step of adding action card updates and/or details to Google Sheets. When an Action Card is created or updated (trigger), the associated row in Google Sheets will be created or updated (action).
To use this recipe, follow the instructions below, or find it in our Recipes Library!
